Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal – The Beginning of an Epic Journey
Book your flights to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, where your Himalayan adventure begins. Our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
Spend three days exploring Kathmandu while we finalize Tibet permits. This also helps with altitude acclimatization.
In the evening, meet fellow riders and tour leaders for an orientation on the route, safety, and essential riding tips before the journey to the Roof of the World.

Day 2: Exploring Kathmandu – A Journey Through Nepal’s Cultural Heart
Today, we explore Kathmandu’s cultural gems, visiting UNESCO-listed Durbar Squares in Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. Each showcases Nepal’s rich history, stunning temples, and vibrant heritage. The day ends in Thamel, a lively hub for shopping and dining before we return to the hotel to rest.

Day 3: Warm-Up Ride – Exploring the Outskirts of Kathmandu
After breakfast, we meet the team and get familiar with our bikes before starting a scenic 60 km ride. We visit Jhor Waterfall, enjoy Himalayan views from Kakani Viewpoint, and take a cable car up Chandragiri Hills for stunning valley panoramas. After a day of adventure, we return to Kathmandu for the night.

Day 4: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi – The Gateway to Tibet
After an early breakfast, we gear up for a thrilling 122 km ride to Syabrubesi, passing through scenic mountain roads and lush valleys.
Our first stop is Trishuli Bazaar for a short break by the river and a visit to the famous hanging cable bridge. After a lunch stop in Dhunche, we continue riding through winding Himalayan roads.
Upon arrival, we check into our stay and visit nearby natural hot springs to relax. The day ends with a traditional Nepali dinner, as we prepare for our journey into Tibet.

Day 5: Syabrubesi to Gyirong Town – Entering Tibet
Day 5 begins with an early start as we prepare to cross into Tibet, covering 60 km.
At the Friendship Bridge, we undergo immigration and transfer bikes and gear manually, ensuring a smooth entry. Once in Tibet, the landscape shifts to stunning high-altitude plains and deep valleys.
Reaching Gyirong Town, we check in, explore local culture, and adjust to China’s time zone before resting for the night.

Day 6: Gyirong to New Tingri – Riding Through the High Himalayas
Today's ride from Gyirong to New Tingri takes us through breathtaking high-altitude landscapes.
We ascend to Lalung La Pass (5,200m), where we witness stunning views of Mt. Xisapangma (8,212m) and Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m). Along the way, we may spot majestic Himalayan Griffons soaring above the Tibetan Plateau.
Arriving in New Tingri, we soak in the traditional Tibetan ambiance, check into our hotel, and rest for the night.

Day 7: New Tingri to Gyantse – Crossing High Passes and Sacred Lakes
Today's ride from New Tingri to Gyantse takes us through stunning high-altitude landscapes.
We ascend Gyanchula Pass (5,200m), passing nomadic settlements and vast Tibetan plains before reaching the breathtaking turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake. Continuing onward, we explore Gyantse’s historic landmarks, including the Gyantse Dzong fortress and the sacred Pelkor Monastery with its famous Kumbum Stupa.
After a rewarding day, we check into our hotel for a restful night in Gyantse.

Day 8: Gyantse to Lhasa – Journey to Tibet’s Spiritual Heart
Today's ride from Gyantse to Lhasa blends thrilling high-altitude roads with deep cultural exploration.
We cross Karo La Pass (5,045m), marveling at hanging glaciers before passing the stunning Yamdrok Lake once more. Riding through traditional Tibetan villages, we approach Lhasa, where the majestic Potala Palace welcomes us.
After checking into our hotel, we unwind, preparing to explore Tibet’s spiritual heart in the days ahead.

Day 9: Exploring Lhasa – Immersing in Tibet’s Spiritual and Cultural Heritage
Today is a deep dive into the spiritual and cultural heart of Tibet as we explore Lhasa’s most revered sites.
We start at the iconic Potala Palace, followed by the serene Norbulingka summer palace. At Jokhang Temple, we witness devoted pilgrims and sacred Buddhist relics.
In the afternoon, we visit Sera Monastery for its lively monk debates and Drepung Monastery, once Tibet’s largest. We end the day at the bustling Barkhor Market, soaking in Lhasa’s vibrant energy.
After a day of spiritual immersion, we return to our hotel for a well-earned rest.

Day 10: Lhasa to Shigatse – Riding Through Tibet’s Historic Heartland
Today's ride from Lhasa to Shigatse takes you through stunning Tibetan landscapes along the historic Friendship Highway.
A stop in Nyemo offers a glimpse into traditional Tibetan paper-making and incense production. As we approach Shigatse, the scenery shifts to vast plains and towering peaks.
Upon arrival, we explore the revered Tashilhunpo Monastery, home to the Panchen Lama, with its rich history and grand architecture.
The evening is spent unwinding at our hotel, reflecting on another incredible day of adventure.

Day 11: Shigatse to Tingri – Riding into the High Himalayas
Today's journey from Shigatse to Tingri takes us through breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, passing through Tsola Pass (4,500m) and Gyatso La Pass (5,220m).
As we ascend, the vast Tibetan Plateau unfolds before us, dotted with nomadic settlements and prayer flag-strewn mountain passes.
Upon reaching Tingri, the gateway to Everest, we are rewarded with stunning views of Mount Everest and Cho Oyu, standing majestically in the distance. A true high-altitude wilderness adventure!

Day 12: Tingri to Everest Base Camp – The Ultimate Ride to the Roof of the World
Today, we ride from Tingri to Everest Base Camp (5,200m), the pinnacle of our Tibetan adventure. Stopping at Rongbuk Monastery (4,980m), we take in breathtaking views of Everest’s North Face. Reaching Base Camp, we stand in awe at the foot of the world’s highest peak. After an unforgettable experience, we return to Rongbuk for the night.

Day 13: Everest Base Camp to Gyirong Town – From the Roof of the World to the Valley of Happiness
Today, we descend from Everest Base Camp to Gyirong Town, leaving behind the towering Himalayas. The barren Tibetan Plateau gives way to lush valleys, cascading waterfalls, and traditional villages. As we approach Gyirong, the “Valley of Happiness,” the scenery turns vibrant, blending Tibetan and Nepalese cultures. Overnight stay in Gyirong Town.

Day 14: Gyirong to Kathmandu – The Final Ride Home
Today, we ride from Gyirong Town to Kathmandu, marking the final leg of our journey. Crossing the Nepal-China border, we descend from Tibet’s rugged landscapes into Nepal’s lush valleys and vibrant hillside villages. Kathmandu’s bustling streets welcome us back, offering time to explore or unwind. In the evening, we gather for a farewell celebration, cherishing the memories of this epic adventure. Today is a well-deserved rest day in Kathmandu after an epic ride through Tibet and the Himalayas.
