Day 1 : Kathmandu, Nepal
Book your flights to and from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal. Upon arrival, the Traverse Adventure Tours team will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel. The first three days in Kathmandu will be spent sightseeing while we arrange the necessary permits for Tibet. In the evenings, you'll have the chance to meet fellow adventurers and discuss the journey ahead. We'll also hold an orientation session to go over important details for the ride and ensure you're prepared for our adventure to the "Roof of the World."

Day 2 : Kathmandu Local
Today, we explore Kathmandu City. In the morning, we will take taxis for local sightseeing around Kathmandu and nearby areas. Our itinerary includes a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you can admire the historic palaces and temples. We will also tour the Lalitpur Heritage City, renowned for its rich culture and architectural beauty. Additionally, we’ll explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, famous for its well-preserved courtyards and vibrant atmosphere. Finally, we’ll spend time in the bustling Thamel area, known for its lively streets, shops, and restaurants.

Day 3 : Kathmandu Bike Ride Local
We will begin the day with an early breakfast at the hotel, followed by a brief meeting to introduce our team and the motorcycles in Kathmandu. Today, we will embark on a short day ride, covering 60 kilometers and visiting local attractions around the city. Our first stop will be Jhor Waterfall, a popular local spot. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, we’ll ride through the countryside along curvy roads to reach Kakani View Point, which offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains. From there, we’ll proceed to Chandragiri Hills, where we’ll take a cable car up to Bhaleshwar Temple for a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley. After the day's adventure, we will return to Kathmandu for an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Kathmandu to Syaprubesi
We will start the day with an early breakfast at the hotel, meet our team, and prepare for our departure from Kathmandu. Our exciting bike ride to Syabrubesi, about 122 kilometers away, will take us through scenic routes and picturesque landscapes. Our first stop will be at Trishuli Bazaar, where we'll stretch, enjoy light snacks by the Trishuli River, and visit the famous hanging cable bridge. Continuing our journey, we will reach Dhunche for lunch and a brief exploration of the town before resuming our ride. Upon arrival at Syabrubesi, we will check into our accommodation, refresh, and head to the nearby natural hot springs to relax in the therapeutic warm waters—perfect for unwinding after a long ride. After returning to our accommodation, we will explore the local area and enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner. Syabrubesi, located just 15 kilometers from the Tibet border, offers stunning landscapes and serves as a gateway to further adventures. We will end the day with an overnight stay, resting for the next leg of our journey.

Day 5 : Syaprubesi to Gyirong Town (9101 Ft)
On Day 5, we will rise early for a challenging yet exhilarating journey from Syabrubesi to Gyirong Town, near the Nepal-China border, covering approximately 60 kilometers. Crossing into Tibet with our foreign-registered motorcycles is a meticulous process, as our support vehicles must remain on the Nepal side. Everything, including our gear, will be manually unloaded, carried across the bridge between the two countries, and then reloaded on the Tibetan side. Despite the complexities, we are well-prepared and have allowed ample time to navigate the procedures efficiently. This unique experience adds to the adventure. Once we complete customs and immigration formalities, we will continue riding toward Gyirong Town, our destination for the evening. Upon arrival, we will explore the town and immerse ourselves in its local culture and attractions. Since China is 2.5 hours ahead of Nepal, we will adjust our schedules accordingly. This leg of the journey promises breathtaking views of the Himalayan foothills and memorable cultural encounters, making it another unforgettable day in our Himalayan exploration.

(DAY 6) GYIRONG → NEW TINGRI (14268 Ft)
On Day 6, the moto ride from Gyirong to New Tingri will offer an exhilarating adventure through the rugged Himalayan landscape. You'll prepare to conquer the formidable Lalungla Pass, standing at 5,200 meters, the highest point of today’s journey. As you ascend, the air will thin, and the temperature will drop, but the reward will be extraordinary. You'll be treated to panoramic views of the colossal Mt. Xisapangma (8,212m), the world’s fourth-highest mountain, and Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m), the sixth-highest peak. Keep an eye out for soaring Himalayan Griffons, majestic birds of prey with wingspans up to ten feet, circling the mountain air currents. Upon arriving in New Tingri, a Tibetan town perched high in the Himalayas, you will be greeted by awe-inspiring views of the surrounding peaks. The town, a microcosm of Tibetan life, features traditional houses adorned with prayer flags and locals in colorful Chubas (robes). After a day of thrilling riding and acclimatization to the high altitude, you'll relax in your comfortable hotel, a perfect haven to rest for the night.

(DAY 7) NEW TINGRI → GYAN TSE(13,500 ft)
Today's ride takes you from New Tingri to the historic town of Gyantse, featuring a challenging ascent over the Gyanchula Pass at 5,200 meters. As you climb higher, the landscape transforms into a breathtaking high-altitude desert, showcasing nomadic settlements and grazing yaks along the way. At the summit, the vast Tibetan Plateau unfolds before you, offering a panoramic view that will linger in your memory long after the journey. On your way to Gyantse, you'll pass iconic Tibetan landmarks, including the stunning Yamdrok Lake, whose turquoise waters contrast beautifully with the surrounding barren mountains. Gyantse, known for its ancient charm, welcomes you with its rich history and striking architecture. Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the famous Gyantse Dzong (fortress) and the remarkable Pelkor Monastery, home to the towering Gyantse Kumbum, a multi-tiered stupa adorned with intricate murals and statues. Day 9 : LHASA REST DAY
On Day 9, you will rest your bikes and explore the cultural and historical treasures of Lhasa, the heart of Tibetan Buddhism. You’ll begin by ascending to the majestic Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former residence of the Dalai Lamas, where you can marvel at its grandeur and explore its historic chambers. Next, you will immerse yourself in the serene Norbulingka, the Dalai Lamas' summer palace, featuring tranquil gardens and traditional Tibetan dwellings. At Jokhang Temple, the most revered pilgrimage site in Tibet, you will observe devout pilgrims and soak in the vibrant spiritual atmosphere. Additionally, you will visit the scholarly Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery, witnessing monks engaged in lively philosophical debates. Finally, you’ll explore Barkhor Market, where you can bargain for Tibetan handicrafts and religious artifacts while mingling with locals and tasting delicious Tibetan street food.

Day 10 : LHASA to SIGATSE
Today, your journey takes you from Lhasa to Shigatse, offering a scenic ride through some of Tibet’s most captivating landscapes. Departing the spiritual heart of Lhasa, you'll follow the historic Friendship Highway, winding through picturesque valleys and over mountain passes, all with the majestic Tibetan Plateau as your backdrop. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the charming town of Nyemo, renowned for its traditional paper-making and incense production, providing a glimpse into Tibetan craftsmanship and rural life. As you approach Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet, the landscape begins to shift, revealing sweeping views of fertile plains and towering peaks. Upon arrival, you'll explore the iconic Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama and one of the most significant spiritual sites in Tibet. Day 11 : SIGATSE to TINGRI COUNTY
Today’s ride takes you from the bustling city of Shigatse to the remote and rugged landscapes of Tingri County. As you leave Shigatse, the road winds through vast valleys and high mountain passes, offering breathtaking views of the towering Himalayas in the distance. Along the way, you’ll traverse the Tsola Pass (4,500 meters) and the Gyatso La Pass (5,220 meters), where the scenery becomes even more dramatic, revealing expansive views of the Tibetan Plateau stretching as far as the eye can see. The route is dotted with small villages and nomadic herders, providing insights into the traditional Tibetan way of life. As you approach Tingri, the landscape transforms into a high-altitude wilderness, characterized by rugged terrain and the snow-capped peaks of Mount Everest and Cho Oyu visible in the distance. Today is the main highlight of your Tibetan adventure, as you ride from Tingri County to the iconic Everest Base Camp. The journey begins with an exhilarating ride through rugged, high-altitude terrain, with the towering Himalayas fully in view. As you approach Rongbuk, the world’s highest monastery, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic, dominated by snow-capped peaks on the horizon. Upon reaching Rongbuk Monastery (4,980 meters), you’ll pause to absorb the surreal beauty of the surroundings, with Mount Everest standing majestically in the background. Rongbuk offers an unmatched vantage point of Everest’s north face, making it a deeply spiritual and awe-inspiring place. From here, you'll continue the short ride to Everest Base Camp (5,200 meters), where the sense of accomplishment and awe is overwhelming. Today, you embark on a thrilling ride from the heights of Everest Base Camp to the lush valleys of Gyirong Town. Leaving behind Everest’s towering peaks, you’ll descend through high-altitude wilderness, with the majestic Himalayas still in view. As you ride, the landscape transforms from rugged, barren terrain to green valleys, with the air becoming richer with oxygen. You’ll pass through breathtaking mountain passes, enjoying views of the Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau, along with traditional Tibetan villages. As you approach Gyirong Town, often called the "Valley of Happiness," the scenery turns lush and vibrant, surrounded by rolling hills and waterfalls.
