Day 5 : Syaprubesi to Gyirong Town (9101 Ft)
On Day 5, we will rise early for a challenging yet exhilarating journey from Syabrubesi to Gyirong Town, near the Nepal-China border, covering approximately 60 kilometers. Crossing into Tibet with our foreign-registered motorcycles is a meticulous process, as our support vehicles must remain on the Nepal side. Everything, including our gear, will be manually unloaded, carried across the bridge between the two countries, and then reloaded on the Tibetan side. Despite the complexities, we are well-prepared and have allowed ample time to navigate the procedures efficiently. This unique experience adds to the adventure. Once we complete customs and immigration formalities, we will continue riding toward Gyirong Town, our destination for the evening. Upon arrival, we will explore the town and immerse ourselves in its local culture and attractions. Since China is 2.5 hours ahead of Nepal, we will adjust our schedules accordingly. This leg of the journey promises breathtaking views of the Himalayan foothills and memorable cultural encounters, making it another unforgettable day in our Himalayan exploration.
